Though Grid-Wall has been approved for use on existing foundations (the foundation will not be subjected to significant increases in weight over that of traditional frame construction), it is still important to consult structural and soil testing engineers about your plans. Foundation designs differ greatly depending upon the soil conditions beneath them and so all designs must be checked thoroughly by qualified experts. The same can be said of all your construction plans. Make sure that they have all been approved by the appropriate engineer before starting construction.
